PalUpNow! Reminders lets you create reminders via mobile SMS, email, WhatsApp, and phone calls. These reminders are private gentle nudges, and don't require a response from the recipient.
You could create reminders yourself or have your friends, family, Ride Pals or Flight Pals set them up for you.

We comply with California Senate Bill 947 (SB 947 - No Robo Bosses Act), which governs employer use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Automated Decision-Making Technology (ADMT) in workplace management.
Our owned and operated bots use both AI and ADMT and operate around the clock to serve a global community. They enable our Pals to retain 100% of their earnings.
In alignment with SB 947 requirements, our bots:
a. do not make unilateral employment decisions. Before any termination or disciplinary action against workers, employees, or community members, whether human or bot, our human reviewers conduct independent verification and thorough investigation. No automated termination or disciplinary decision is final without human oversight and approval.
b. do not use personal worker data for predictive profiling. Our bots do not employ personal data to forecast future worker behavior or performance outcomes.

For two reasons:
1. We would like to provide elderly and physically/mentally impaired people a seamless experience by removing the hassle of creating accounts and then having to remember passwords. More often than not, they tend to forget their passwords, and then face difficulties in resetting them, only to forget them again.
While we are proud that most of you can navigate apps with ease, we sincerely request you to empathize with others who can't. You don't want the technologically-challenged people to get frustrated with accounts and passwords, and then give up, do you?
2. And that's not all.
Cybersecurity threats have wreaked havoc. Despite their best effort, companies have succumbed to these threats and their customers have had their personal information stolen from their secure accounts. PalUpNow! doesn't want to store your sensitive details any longer than we have to. This limits your exposure, and protects us as well.

When you sign up to be a Pal or to get a Pal, you'll get a match alert in your email introducing you to your potential partners. Your potential partners also get emailed with your contact information and preferences.
If you don't get matched, no action is needed on your part. We will keep an eye for future matches, and will email you.
If you provide your phone number during sign-up, you'll also get an SMS alert on your mobile phone. You don't have to share your phone number if you don't want to. Email is mandatory.
PalUpNow! match alert emails are in English. You could use the translation services provided by your email provider, or generic translation services like Google Translate or DeepL.
Yes.
We understand that you may sign up to create multiple profiles with different requirements. Naturally, you would like your name, email address, phone number, age range, pronouns, occupation, and similar information pre-filled when you sign up a second time, and every time after that.
We enable you to clone your profile with a single click. We embed this 1-click link in your welcome email as soon as you sign up. We also embed this clone link in other relevant emails, like your profile deactivation and deletion emails.
Members who provide their mobile number while signing up receive this profile clone link via mobile SMS.
You might also want to use a different email address or a different phone number in your new profiles. You can do so easily by cloning your existing profile, and making necessary edits before signing up again.
We have done away with accounts and passwords. You don't have to remember yet another password and log into your account to see your historical data.
So, does that mean you can't see your history? Not at all.
Your past activity is associated with reviews we receive. On the 1st day of every month, we automatically deliver your past activity straight to your inbox. If needed, we can tune the frequency of the emails.
We can also email relevant information concerning you, like a list of community members who've mentioned you as their referrer while signing up.
We fortify the member identification process with a security code, that works just like a PIN (Personal Identification Number) verification or an OTP (One-time password).
Keep this security code safe.
This security code is unique to every pal up. Digital security is just as important as physical security, and so these security codes are applicable for contactless matches as well.
We embed this security code inside your match alert emails. If you provide your mobile number while signing up, we send this security code via mobile SMS.
Check the status of our web app.
We send relevant downtime notifications and status updates to our platform owner, Area Directors/Managers, Pals, and other active contributors.

If you provide your mobile number during signing up, you'll likely enjoy an enhanced mobile experience with focused messaging outlining next steps.
When you sign up, an ID is automatically generated by PalUpNow! that serves as your unique identifier. This ID is your Flight Pal ID, Flyer ID, Ride Pal ID or Rider ID, depending on your profile.
Locate your ID in your:
a. Welcome email that you received after signing up
b. Match alert email.
If you provided your mobile number during signing up, you may also locate your ID in the mobile SMS or WhatsApp message.
For your privacy and safety, PalUpNow! doesn't display your real name on your anonymized profile, and uses an alias instead, like "rose".
While signing up, choose an alias that you'll remember easily.
Locate your alias on your:
a. Welcome email that you received after signing up
b. Match alert email
c. Anonymized profile for Flights and Rides.
If you provided your mobile number during signing up, you may also locate your alias in the mobile SMS or WhatsApp message.
We assist our global community 24/7.

If you need further support from a human, Smilo enables you to submit a support request, and a human will get in touch with you.
Smilo notifies our humans with details of their responses. Our humans review and improve these responses on an ongoing basis.

If we do not receive sufficient information to locate the data you require or if the scope of your request is unclear, we may have to contact you for additional details or we may be unable to comply with your request. Therefore, to help us process your request quickly and efficiently, please provide us with as much details as is possible.
PalUpNow! anonymizes profiles and reviews to protect your privacy.
We delete member profiles in accordance with the data retention clause in our Privacy Policy.
We don't delete reviews. However, we de-identify them by stripping them of your personal information so that they can't be tied back to you.
PalUpNow! protects the real identity of our members, since people with accessibility issues and mental health challenges don’t always feel comfortable asking for support in public forums.
PalUpNow! empowers them by anonymizing their web profiles. Anonymized profiles do not expose personally identifiable information (PII), like name, email, phone, age range, and pronouns. PII is shared privately over email only after a potential match is detected.
PalUpNow! anonymizes and eventually de-identifies Flights and Rides reviews to protect your privacy.
An anonymized review gets de-identified when:
a. all members, associated with the review, choose to delete their anonymized profiles
b. Sawyer, a PalUpNow! bot🤖, deletes member profiles in accordance with the data retention clause in our Privacy Policy.
Yes.
Every time you sign up, an anonymized profile gets created with a unique ID, and a confirmation email gets sent to you.
For example, you can request a Ride Pal on two separate occasions:
a. First, with the alias "Hungry, but not angry!" and get matched for a 2-way ride to get your groceries this coming weekend.
b. Second, with the alias "Fitter is better!" and get matched for a virtual session with a fitness coach the following weekend.
Also, you could request a Flight Pal when you take a flight.
We recommend you use a different alias every time you sign up to maintain anonymity, especially if you've revealed your current alias.
However, if this isn't a concern, you can use the same alias multiple times. Choose an alias that you can easily remember.

The ID is a system-generated unique identifier that PalUpNow! creates every time you sign up.
If two members end up choosing the same alias, they will still have different IDs.
If you're not satisfied with our service, contact us and we'll try to address your issue.
For your convenience, your personalized 1-click deactivation link is embedded in your welcome email as soon as you sign up.
Once you deactivate, we'll pause your match alerts. If you have multiple profiles, you may choose to deactivate some or all. Your personalized 1-click reactivation link is embedded in your deactivation confirmation email.
For your convenience, your personalized 1-click reactivation link is embedded in your deactivation confirmation email. There's no reactivation fee.
You can also reactivate your profile on our self-serve platform by entering your personal information yourself.
We'll resume your match alerts. If you have multiple profiles, you may choose to reactivate some or all.
If you're not satisfied with our service, contact us and we'll try to address your issue(s).
For your convenience, your personalized 1-click deletion link is embedded in your welcome email as soon as you sign up.
You can also delete your profile on our self-serve platform by entering your personal information yourself.
We'll stop your match alerts, and delete your data. If you have multiple profiles, you may choose to delete some or all.
While you're filling out a form, PalUpNow! tends to retain the information you've entered for your convenience.
When you use our forms from a shared device at home, or a public device in an internet cafe, use the Clear Form option to clear up your data so that others don't accidentally see your information.

Your personalized multilingual ID verification link is embedded in your welcome email as soon as you sign up. Do not share this link.
Some members prefer to pal up with verified partners. Verify your ID at your earliest.
The minimum age required by PalUpNow! is 18.
Minors may participate with adult supervision.
ID verification is quick, and takes only a few minutes.
Your personalized link will display the result and you'll also receive an email.
We preserve your ID verification data as per the data retention clause in our Privacy Policy, after which you'll be required to reverify your ID.
If you have verified your ID once, either for Flights or Rides, and the verification date is within the data retention period specified in our Privacy Policy, your verified status will reflect on your new profile(s), meaning, the black checkmark✔️ will appear besides your alias(es).
If you've verified your ID for Flights, you don't need to reverify for Rides, and vice versa.
However, if you use a different email address in your new profile(s), your verified status won't get carried over.
In this case, you can:
a. update your new profile(s) with the same email address you used for ID verification, or
b. reverify your ID.
We store the name as shown in your ID.
We check whether your ID has expired but we don't store the ID expiration date. Instead, we enable you to create a reminder for yourself to renew your ID a month before it expires.
ID verification links expire after 28 days.
If your link has expired, you won't be able to use it to verify your ID. But, don't worry. Check your email. PalUpNow! will automatically send you a new personalized ID verification link. Do not share this link.
Some members prefer to pal up with verified partners. Verify your ID at your earliest.
If you meet the minimum age requirement and if your ID hasn't expired, the problem could be the image file of the ID you've uploaded, and not the ID itself.
Retry your ID verification by snapping a photo of your ID, and uploading that photo.
Verified members have a black checkmark✔️ besides their alias.
You can see these on their anonymized web profiles (Flights and Rides) and also in the match alerts. Check before you pal up.
If you're matched with someone and they're unverified, request them to verify their ID. It's free and takes only a few minutes. While the old match alerts won't get updated, their anonymized web profile (Flights and Rides) will display their verified status.
Our multilingual ID verification is included in PalUpNow! Basic, and it's free.
For background checks and other screenings, upgrade to PalUpNow! Premium.

Our match alert system emails you ALL potential matches. We don't want to limit your choices upfront by eliminating people who aren't verified (yet) or are in the process of verification.
Here's why:
1. People tend to initially insist on verified Pals, and once they realize that verified Pals might charge a higher fee, they change their mind.
2. Also, if verified Pals aren't available, they may not delay time-sensitive tasks. They may decide to proceed with an unverified Pal.
3. Also, verified Pals might insist on them getting verified in return, which they may not want to do.
PalUpNow! does NOT collect or store the sensitive documents required to perform ID verifications.
PalUpNow! has partnered with an industry-standard vendor, who performs multilingual ID verifications globally on our behalf.
Follow their instructions, and submit your documents to them directly.
