Our community guidelines outline the standards and expectations for everyone on the PalUpNow! platform. These help people understand what is expected of them and how they should engage within the community. We intend these guidelines to create a welcoming space for all members.

When you sign up to be a Ride Pal or to get a Ride Pal, you can specify one or more help categories.

You could potentially give or get help in all categories, if the Ride Pal were to be appropriately compensated by the Rider.

Ride Pals are not just drivers. Ride Pals help you with life essentials, and provide rides when needed. They stay with you, help you accomplish your task, and bring you back home.

When physical meetings and rides are unnecessary, Ride Pals help you in a contactless fashion via email, phone, text, or audio/video calls.

Add a service area directly from the Ride Pal sign-up or Rider sign-up pages. Once you receive an email confirmation, refresh the sign-up page for the new service area to display.

Yes. 

For privacy and security, you need not reveal your home address. Instead, use a popular landmark as your meeting spot.

Even if you choose to share your home address, it can't be tied back to you from your anonymized profile. It will be shared with your potential partners via match alerts.

We strongly recommend that you be punctual. However, we understand that life happens, and that despite your best intentions, you might run late.

Communicate using each other's contact information provided in the match alert, and reschedule.

Update your profile via the link in your welcome email to unlock new matches. 

Note: You can't change your country or service area on your existing profile due to legal and jurisdiction restrictions. Instead of creating a new profile from scratch, clone your current one and adjust your geographic preferences.

Contact us, and send us the missing category with a brief explanation. While we can't promise that we'll add every help category, we'll consider it. 

When you sign up to be a Ride Pal or to get a Ride Pal, always enter your own name, since we verify your name from your ID.

You may use a friend or relative's contact information. PalUpNow! sends an email when a potential match is detected, and your friend or relative should be able to notify you.

PalUpNow! typically doesn't call you, unless you've requested a reminder via a phone call. The phone number is primarily for members to communicate with each other, if needed. You'll get a mobile SMS alert when a potential match is detected.

Note: People using the same email address do not get matched.
